At just 15, Muzainah proves that passion has no age—The Blood Crown is a story where nothing is purely good or evil.
"Writing The Blood Crown has been the most thrilling experience of my life. Admittedly, it was hard, but I was set on making a difference and achieving my dream. I began working on it when I was 13, not to publish a book, but more because I wanted to create a story that felt different from the typical fantasy novels I read. It took me one and a half years to complete writing, drafting, and editing my book and another six months for publishing. The tagline I came up with for the book - “In a world of heroes, everyone is a villain” - summarizes my book in one line. Nobody in this story is purely good or evil. Every character is gray, and they’re all trying to survive in a world that’s already broken."
-Excerpt from an interview with Muzainah Shahrukh Muhammad
Yasin, the 15-year-old author, who is a student at Al Salam Private School Dubai.
“This book means the world to me. I’ve poured my everything into writing it, making sure it is perfect in my eyes. I wrote The Blood Crown for myself, wanting to write something that would make a difference and show that I have what it takes to achieve my dreams.”
